Counseling Systems Design & Research
About Me
I believe successful counseling experiences begin through relationship. Prior to transitioning to
the field of counseling I worked extensively within the criminal justice system. I thought that I
might have an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals who have
faced various challenges in life.
I received my BA from City College of New York and my MS in Mental Health Counseling
from SUNY New Paltz.
I use individually tailored counseling tools such as brief psychodynamic exploration,
mindfulness training, emotional freedom techniques (EFT), narrative, breathwork, goal setting,
and solution focus to offer clients an opportunity to look deep within themselves for answers to
life’s questions.
I specialize in working with adults and families that have experienced and are working through
trauma related issues, grief and bereavement issues, and substance abuse issues. In addition, I
specialize in working with adults and emerging adults looking to process emotions, feelings,
stress, and interpersonal relationships. My services are culturally competent and honor each
person’s unique perspective.
I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP), the use of ketamine as a
complement to psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with an organization
called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for
KAP, prescribes the ketamine & supports in monitoring outcomes.
